What is the relationship between these pairs of action? How can we link each pair to show this relationship?

We can show how actions are linked in time by using time clauses.

1.       We can use as to link connected actions happening at the same time.

Kunci : waktu yang sama

Example:

As cold water passes through a heat exchanger. The water is heated

2.       We can use until to link an actions and the limit of that action.

Kunci : ada batas/limit

Example:

The water is heated until it reaches a pre-set temperature.

3.       We can use after to show that one action is followed by another action.

Kunci : mengikuti/diikuti

Example:

After the water is heated, it is pumped to a diverter valve.

4.       We can use when to show that one action happens immidiately after another.

Kunci : sesegera mungkin setelah yang lain.

Example:

When the water temperature reaches the right level, the gas control valve shuts off.
